What to Bring to Your Notary Appointment

To keep your appointment fast and smooth, please bring:

Required for ALL Notary Services

✔Valid government-issued photo ID (required for every notarization)

✔The document(s) to be notarized (unsigned if the document must be signed in front of the notary)

✔Any additional signers who must be notarized (they must be present with their own valid ID)

✔Any instructions provided by your employer, school, agency, or receiving organization

Apostille Notary Services

If your document will be used outside the United States, you may need an apostille—a form of authentication accepted by countries participating in the Hague Apostille Convention.

Mint ClearPath helps you understand what’s required and guides you through the process so your documents are prepared correctly for submission.

In Georgia, apostilles are issued through the GSCCCA and are generally available only for eligible Georgia-issued or properly notarized Georgia documents.

What to Bring for Apostille Notary Services

Apostille requests can vary depending on the document type and the country where it will be used. Generally, please bring:

✔The original document (or certified copy, if required for that document type)

✔Valid government-issued photo ID (if notarization is needed for the document)

✔The state/country where the document will be used (this matters for the correct authentication process)

✔Any special instructions from the receiving organization (embassy, school, employer, etc.)

Note: Some Georgia-issued public records (like certain vital records or court documents) must be submitted as official certified copies and are not notarized.

Helpful (if applicable)

Any required witnesses (some documents require witnesses; if you’re not sure, ask before your appointment). If we provide the witness it is an additional $15
